PAFnow Update April 2020

It’s time for the PAFnow Update April 2020.

The latest version of PAFnow has:

  • new features for the Process Explorer
  • increased performance for Enterprise users

The PAFnow Update of March 2020 came with new highlight features and report page functionalities. Now, the PAFnow Update April 2020 comes with increased performance for Enterprise users and new slider features.

Slider Features

There are new slider features. Users should be familiar with the slider. You can use it to change the number of paths to see in your process flow. When you set the slider to the far left, you only see the most common paths. The further you slide to the right; the more nodes and edges are displayed up to the least frequent ones on the far right.

Now the slider can do much more. Actually there are now two sliders and you can slide in both directions and use the slider bar to “switch” between views. Check out our short video:

As you can see, the slider got a really nice upgrade that makes it way easier for you to change the complexity of your process graph and to narrow down the exact view that you want to have. Also the “scrolling” functionality is a great way to switch between views.

SSIS Package

There are also some great news for our PAFnow Enterprise customers. The SSIS package received an upgrade, so the transformation speed is now at average five times higher than before.

Our test results show how much shorter transformation time is with the new update (green) compared to before (blue)

What’s more, our tests showed that the bigger your data set, the higher the increase in speed. So for enterprises with large quantities of data, that is a great performance increase.

We are determined to continue our mission to democratize Process Mining and make it accessible to anyone via Microsoft Power BI and Office 365. Do you want to know more about Process Mining? You can test PAFnow here or find out more about which version is right for you and your company’s specific needs here. More details on the new version can be found in the PAFnow documentation, which can be accessed after registering.
